
Jan Pogue and John Walter, a husband and wife team, have more than seventy years combined experience in editing and publishing. They have held high-level editing jobs at some of the finest newspapers in the country, including USA Today, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Philadelphia Inquirer. In addition, Ms. Pogue has fifteen years in book publishing.

Philadelphia Inquirer and USA Today.
• Author of twelve commissioned books on banks, private schools,
colleges, worker’s compensation, a rural telephone company.
• Current project: An authorized history of the American
Cancer
Society for publication in 2007.
• Immediate past president of the Martha’s Vineyard YMCA.

Co-Editor and Publisher
• Thirty years’ experience in daily and weekly journalism, including
as a founding editor of USA Today and executive editor of the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
• On the Vineyard, served as editor and publisher of the
Vineyard
Gazette.
• Editor, Dukes County Intelligencer, Martha’s Vineyard Museum
• A member of the Dukes County Arts Advisory Council.
